Centier Bank Ranked Best Bank to Work for in Indiana, #5 in the U.S.

Centier Bank once again ranked #1 in Indiana for eight years in a row! Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, has been ranked as the Best Bank to Work For in Indiana by American Banker’s 2025 Best Banks to Work For list. Centier also ranked #5 nationally on the list of the top 90 banks, up from #11 in 2024.

American Banker, a nationally renowned industry publication, partners with Best Companies Group to identify banks that excel at creating positive and supportive workplaces for employees. This year 90 banks earned a spot in the ranking of American Banker’s 13th annual Best Banks to Work For, based on an anonymous employee survey and a thorough review of the benefits and perks offered. Throughout its duration, Centier has been included in all 13 rankings.

Determining the Best Banks to Work For involved a two-step process. The first consisted of evaluating each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the final ranking.

This accolade adds to an already impressive 130th year, as Centier Bank’s earned its inaugural distinction as Best Retail Bank for Customer Satisfaction in the North Central Region in the U.S. in the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study. The bank has also received recognition from Forbes as one of Indiana’s top-rated banks for seven consecutive years, ranking first in the state most recently for 2024. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce also recognized Centier Bank for the 19th year in a row on its 2025 Best Places to Work list.
