CEF of Indiana set to ignite Region’s vision at annual spring banquet

CEF of Indiana set to ignite Region’s vision at annual spring banquet

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Indiana will host its annual spring banquet on Thursday, March 19th at 6:15 pm CST. The event – themed “Ignite Our Vision” – will once again be held at Liberty Bible Church, located at 824 Calumet, Chesterton, Indiana.

With this event, CEF of Indiana will seek to fundraise for the organization’s local Northwest Indiana chapter.

“As a nonprofit, this is one of our major fundraisers of the year for our ministry,” said Chris Corwin, CEF of Indiana director. “The ministry is for sharing the gospel with children across the various different programs that we have.”

According to its website, CEF is a Bible-centered organization composed of believers who teach children the Gospel and introduce them to the Word of God. Ignite Our Vision seeks to raise between $30K-$35K from the event to be used in pursuit of this mission.

“We’re happy to be back at Liberty Bible Church this year, and we’re hoping to gain some new friends and gather the funds needed to allow the work we do to continue through the year,” said Corwin.

Kirk Reynolds of The Navigators will be this year’s Ignite Our Vision speaker. Reynolds is very much looking forward to being a part of it.

“I am excited to share at the CEF event, and I challenge you to join us in fanning the flame, igniting the gift of God in you as described in 2 Timothy 1:6 as ‘taking the love of God next door to everyone/everywhere,’” he said. “Like the allegory in C.S. Lewis’ story of Narnia, Aslan is allegorically looked at in the book as God ‘is on the move!’ Come be a part of what God is doing here in Northwest Indiana as he certainly is on the move in the Region.”

The event is open to the public, and CEF urges those who plan to attend and/or are familiar with Ignite Our Vision to spread the word.

“We like to invite people who already know about CEF, and we encourage them to invite friends who don’t know about CEF so that we can share about the ministry, we can update people on what is happening this year and what we hope to do in the coming year,” Corwin said.

Additionally, event admission is free of charge, but the event is ticketed. Attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets ahead of Ignite Our Vision.

More information on the event can be found on the CEF of Indiana Facebook page under Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ind. – Northwest or on its website at cefnwi.org.
