Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana (BGCGNWI) announces the launch of its annual “Return to Learn” match campaign, running September 1-30. This month-long initiative challenges each of the organization’s nine Clubs to unite their communities and raise vital funds for nearly 8,500 Club kids across the region.
Thanks to the generosity of the University of Chicago Medicine, every donation made during the campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000. This crucial support doubles the impact of contributions, directly fueling BGCGNWI’s mission. During last year’s campaign, the community rallied to raise a grand total of $211,799, which is more than double the match goal and a 50% increase over 2023’s proceeds. This year, BGCGNWI aims to surpass last year’s total and empower even more young people through comprehensive programs and services that support the whole child, with a focus on nurturing academic success, health and wellness, character development, and career readiness.

The Return to Learn campaign strategically coincides with the beginning of the new school year, a time of fresh starts and boundless possibilities for children to learn, explore, and grow. BGCGNWI plays a pivotal role in ensuring this journey of discovery continues beyond the classroom, providing quality after-school programming, sports leagues, and engaging activities specifically designed to help every child achieve their full academic and personal potential.
