An inspiring visit for scholars with Mrs. Beth White

Mrs. Beth White recently visited scholars from Andrean High School, Bishop Noll Institute, and Marquette Catholic High School who are part of the White Family Leaders Scholars Program. Her visit offered an inspiring look into how students are developing as leaders — grounded in faith, service, and self-awareness.

Mrs. White  asked the scholars about their dreams, passions, and personal growth, while also connecting on a more personal level — learning about their classes, extracurricular interests, and favorite music. Her warmth and curiosity helped students feel seen and valued, reminding them that leadership begins with confidence in one’s own voice and gifts.

Mrs. White also challenged each scholar to prepare and share three SMART Goals – goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This exercise prompted thoughtful discussions about how students define success and take ownership of their growth.

Scholars’ Reflections:
Common themes emerged from the scholars’ responses, including:

  • Preparing for college and maximizing senior year opportunities
  • Deepening faith and finding ways to serve their school and parish communities
  • Managing stress and focusing on personal well-being
  • Building stronger study habits and time-management skills
  • Becoming more confident, social, and involved in school activities, it was clear that these young leaders are not only setting academic goals but also cultivating character, purpose, and resilience.

We are deeply grateful to Mrs. Beth White for her time, encouragement, and thoughtful engagement with our scholars. Her visit underscored what the White Family Leaders Scholars Program is all about: developing leaders who know themselves, serve others, and strive to make a positive impact in their communities.
