Fall sports leagues registration begins at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater NWI

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s Fall Sports Leagues registration is open! Leagues offered this upcoming fall season includes volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s sports leagues offer fun, instructional, and team building opportunities that focus on good sportsmanship and honesty. Information on each league is listed below:

Duneland Club’s Volleyball League:

• Registration: July 22 – September 6; Early Bird Registration: July 22 – August 16, $5 league fee discount
• League runs from September 17 – November 16
• League Divisions Include:
  • 3-4 Grades: Cost is $40 per child; Practices Tuesday evenings and games Saturdays
  • 5-6 Grades: Cost is $40 per child; Practices Wednesday evenings and games Saturdays
  • 7-8 Grades: Cost is $40 per child; Practices Thursday evenings and games Saturdays
• Skills testing is mandatory with the following schedule:
  • 3-4 Grades: September 10 at 6 pm
  • 5-6 Grades: September 11 at 6 pm
  • 7-8 Grades: September 12 at 6 pm
• Coaches’ Meeting will take place September 9 at 6 pm at the Duneland Club
• Schedules and rosters will be posted on website at www.bgcgreaternwi.org/clubs/chesterton-duneland/leagues-chesterton/
• In addition to league fees, a $35 Club membership is required. Membership assistance is available.

Portage Club’s Indoor Soccer League – This is a semi-competitive League:

• Registration: August 12 – September 6; Early Bird Registration: August 5 – 9, $5 league fee discount; Late Registration: September 9 – 13; $5 added league fee
• League runs from September 16 – November 14
• League Divisions include:
  • Biddy (6 – 7 Year Age Division): Registration Fee is $35; Practices will be held Friday before games
  • Junior (8 – 10 Age Division): Registration fee is $40; Practices will be held Monday evenings and games Wednesdays
  • Senior (11 – 13 Age Division): Registration Fee is $40; Practices will be held Tuesday evenings and games Thursdays
• Skills testing is mandatory with the following schedule:
  • Biddy: September 11 at 5:30 pm
  • Juniors: September 10 at 5:30 pm
  • Seniors: September 11 at 5:30 pm
• Schedules and rosters will be available online at www.bgcgreaternwi.org/portage-leagues
• In addition to league fees, a $35 Club membership is required. Membership assistance is available.

South Haven Club’s Indoor Soccer League:

• Registration: July 22 – September 6
• League runs from September 21 – November 16
• League Divisions include:
  • Tiny (4 – 5 Year Age Division) and Biddy (6 – 7 Year Age Division): Registration Fee is $30; Practices are Saturday mornings with games immediately following
  • Junior (8 – 10 Age Division): Registration fee is $40; Practices are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings and games are late mornings or early afternoons on Saturdays
  • Senior (Age 11 – 14 Age Division): Registration Fee is $40; Practices are Tuesday or Thursday evenings and games on Saturday afternoons
• There is mandatory skills testing for Junior and Senior Age Divisions only. Skills testing schedule is as follows:
  • Junior Division: September 12 at 6 pm
  • Senior Division: September 13 at 6 pm

Valparaiso Club’s Volleyball and Soccer Leagues:

Volleyball League:

• Registration: August 12 – August 30; Early Bird Registration: July 22 – August 11, $5 league fee discount; Late Registration: August 31 and After; $5 added league fee
• League Runs from September 16 – November 16
• League Divisions include grades 3-4; 5-6; and 7-8 and the league fee for all age divisions is $35.
• All practices all held Tuesday evenings at the Club; and all games will take place Saturdays at the Duneland Boys & Girls Club

Basketball League:

• Registration: August 12 – August 30; Early Bird Registration: July 15 – August 11, $5 league fee discount; Late Registration: August 31 and After; $5 added league fee
• League Runs from September 16 – November 9
• League Divisions include:
  • Tiny (4 – 5 Year Age Division) and Biddy (6 – 7 Year Age Division): Registration Fee is $30 without the basketball jersey and $45 if jersey is needed; Practices are Saturday mornings with games immediately following
  • Junior (8 – 10 Age Division): Registration fee is $35 without the basketball jersey and $50 if jersey is needed; Practices are Wednesday evenings and games are late mornings or early afternoons on Saturdays
  • Senior (Two Age Divisions: 10 – 11 and 12 – 14): Registration Fee for 10 – 11 Age Division is $35 without the basketball jersey, $50 if jersey is needed; and Registration Fee for 12 – 14 is $45 or $60 if jersey is needed; Practices are Thursday evenings and games on Saturday afternoons
• Skills testing is mandatory for Biddy through Senior Age Divisions. It is not mandatory for Tiny Division. Skills testing will take place for Biddy and 10 – 11 Age Divisions on September 6 at 6:30 pm; and for Junior and 12-14 Age Divisions on September 6 at 5:30 pm
• A Coaches’ meeting will be held at the Club on September 5 at 6:30 pm
