Cheers to Indiana Beverage’s fall beer lineup

Cheers to Indiana Beverage’s fall beer lineup

There’s a chill in the air, and the leaves are starting to shine their golden-brown hue, meaning fall has officially arrived. Why not grab a drink to celebrate? Indiana Beverage has released its seasonal drink lineup as the area begins to shift to cooler temperatures, and each is currently available at a store near you. Now’s your chance to not just fully embrace the autumn spirit but grab a taste of it, too, with any one of these fall releases: the Griffin Claw Screamin Pumpkin’ 16z 6/4 can, the Dogfish Punkin 4/6 can, the New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin 4/6, or the New Oberpfalz Oktoberfest 4/6 NR.

Each of the drinks brings a refreshing spin on the fall season, and the GreatNews.Life (GNL) team was able to get a taste of the action when trying out the lineup for themselves. Many were impressed by how each drink brought its own mix of sweetness and spices to resemble the nostalgic season.

Screamin’ Pumpkin, for example, lets everyone get a swig of a beloved Thanksgiving dessert. Brewed with nutmeg, allspice, clove, cinnamon, and fresh ginger, the beer is just like a drinkable pumpkin pie.

For GNL Junior Full Stack Web Developer Monika Krcoski, it also reminded her of another nostalgic treat associated with the season.

“This one is what I would describe as a pumpkin spice latte in a beer. It’s a little more muted but very good in a different direction,” said Krcoski.

Those with a real sweet tooth may want to give the Dogfish Punkin a go. A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar, the Dogfish Punkin is an ideal sweet treat to round off a great fall day picking apples at the orchard or sitting with friends by a warm bonfire.

“It also gives pumpkin pie but with a hint of brown sugar, perfect for any fall activity,” Krcoski said.

The Atomic Bomb, with its mix of cinnamon and habanero chili peppers, brings an explosion of sweet and spicy to the taste buds. Damon Modglin, GreatNews.Life editorial director, noted this combination created a perfect blend from the very first sip.

“The first sip is pumpkin sweet, and then the chili creeps in to round out the flavor,” Modglin said. “It’s something you’d find at a fall festival or brewfest, except you can bring it home with you.”

Krcoski agrees, noting it would make for a delicious way to wash down a hearty Thanksgiving meal.

“The Atomic Pumpkin feels like autumn in a glass,” Krcoski said. “It’s perfect for Thanksgiving dinner.”

Rounding out the group is the Oberpfalz Oktoberfest beer, which comes from Griffith-based New Oberpfalz Brewing. With a golden-copper shine with hints of wheat bread, honey, caramel, and other spicy hop aromas, it makes for a fan favorite, much like the German fall event of the same name.

”This is my favorite. You get fall with a hint of citrus; it’s a perfect Oktoberfest beer,” Krcoski said.

Whether your ideal fall is a bit rough around the edges with spice and tang or sweet as pie, there’s something for everyone. No matter your choice, sit back, relax, pour yourself a drink, and say “Cheers” as you toast with friends, family, and loved ones to the fall season.
