Assistant Sales Manager Megan Benich elevates member service at Purdue Federal Credit Union’s Crown Point Branch

Megan Benich is the assistant sales manager for Purdue Federal Credit Union’s Crown Point branch located at 113th & Broadway.

Benich graduated from Purdue University then worked in other sales and customer-focused roles before joining Purdue Federal as a member consultant in September 2019.

Afterward, she served as Member Consultant II then lead member consultant before stepping into her current position.

Benich’s favorite aspect of her current role is getting to know and understand all the members.

“I really enjoy working with all of the members and helping people improve their credit,” Benich said. “It’s also very interesting learning about people in my role.”

As a leader at the credit union, Benich leans on Purdue Federal’s core values. She strives to cultivate a top-notch member service.

“I am very empathetic, but strive for great member service,” she said. “One of our core values is mutual respect, which makes me want to go above and beyond for all of our members. I treat members the way I would want to be treated as a member.”

Benich also emphasizes the importance of member service. With the help of her leadership, the team has a firm understanding of how vital excellent service is for member retention, new-member engagement, and general operational success.

“We really strive to be friendly, learn the names of our members, and get to know more about them,” she said. “With regular members, we have great rapport and want to continue building and making more relationships in the community.”

Her enthusiasm for member service follows Purdue Federal’s mission, which is to be its members trusted financial partner for life.

Outside of work, Benich loves to spend free time with her husband, Fred, as well as her two stepchildren, both of whom are in elementary school.

“I actually just got married in July to my husband Fred,” Benich said. “I don’t have any children of my own, but my two stepchildren are the best.”
