The La Porte Night Bicycle Ride will take you on a leisurely 13-mile, starlit bike ride of La Porte. This is not a race and all participants must have the following: a helmet, a headlight and a tail light. For more information and how to register, visit here.

After being unable to present a play last summer due to COVID-19, the Chicago Street Theatre will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for its 10th annual Shakespeare in the Park. Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation invite walkers and runners of all ages to compete in the Kathleen Pucalik Memorial 5K Roadie Run leading up to the Festival of the Lakes.
