Valparaiso Police Department to host Guardians of the Night 5K-9 Run and Mile Walk on May 15

The Valparaiso Police Department is inviting runners, their families, and their furry friends to Central Park Plaza for the department’s Guardians of the Night 5K-9 Run and 1 Mile Walk on Friday, May 15. The fun run has a $30 registration fee, and proceeds will directly benefit the Valpo K-9 Unit.

The 5K run races along a road course with moderate hills. Computerized timing will be provided by T&H Timing, and runners can expect mile split times and water stations throughout the course. Strollers, skates, and bikes will not be allowed on the course, but families are encouraged to bring their furry friends to join the run for the K-9 Unit.

Registration is available by scanning the below QR code, signing up online, or by completing an application that can be picked up from the Valparaiso Police Department. Race shirts are guaranteed for all event attendees that register before May 6.
