Purdue Federal Credit Union supports the Pax Center

Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) is proud to continue its commitment to supporting local communities through its annual Skip-a-Pay promotion. On February 17, 2026, Purdue Federal presented a $4,165 donation to The Pax Center, with funds raised during the credit union’s December and January Skip-a-Pay promotion.

Each year, eligible members in good standing have the option to skip a credit card, vehicle loan or personal loan payment for a small administrative fee. A portion of those fees is then directed toward a selected local nonprofit organization, allowing members to make a meaningful impact in the communities Purdue Federal serves.

The Pax Center works to ensure individuals and families in LaPorte County have consistent access to nutritious meals and welcoming spaces for connection. The organization operates a food pantry three days a week, serves two hot community meals each week and maintains community gardens and green spaces that provide fresh produce while bringing neighbors together.

The funds will help support ongoing programming, pantry operations and the continued care of the gardens and gathering spaces that serve the La Porte community.
