Porter Health System Presents “Be Healthy. Be Safe” A Medical Panel Discussion on Diabetes Care

To educate individuals on proper diabetes care, Porter Health System will present “Be Healthy. Be Safe.” a panel discussion by medical professionals from 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Old Town Banquet Center, 711 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso.

This free event is for people with diabetes, as well as their families and friends and will feature:

• A diabetes educational display from 5 to 6:30 pm. Representatives will be on hand to showcase glucose meters, insulin pumps, diabetes medications and additional educational materials.

• A diabetes health panel discussion from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. Led by Mohammed F. Zeitoun, MD, endocrinologist, the medical panel discussion will include 15 minute presentations from: Stephen Paul, MD, gastroenterologist; A.J. Pampalone, DO, nephrologist; Daniel Sikoski, MD, internist; Douglas A. Zale, MD, ophthalmologist; and Ronald Izynski, DPM, podiatrist.

A question and answer session will immediately follow the presentation.
