Celebrate ‘da Region at 219 Day

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the 219 Day Committee invite all Region residents age 21 and over to celebrate 10 years of 219 Day with a high school–style Region Reunion!

The Region’s annual party, 219 Day, returns to the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Admission is free.

This year’s celebration features live entertainment from Boy Band Review, classic back yard games, and a lounge area, along with fan-favorite attractions including the piñata, selfie booth, 219 Day temporary tattoos, and the highly anticipated reading of the 219 Day Proclamation.

As always, attendees can enjoy a variety of Region craft beers, and domestic beers. Manic Meadery returns to serve the Region’s favorite meads, and Region-exclusive food vendors will be on site throughout the evening.

Official 219 Day T-shirts and hoodies will be available at 219day.com and at the event while supplies last.

Be sure to sign the “You Know You’re From ’da Region If…” boards posted throughout the Civic Center.

So, dust off those old letterman jackets, laugh about the good old days, and help make this reunion one to remember.

Corporate sponsorships are still available.
